PIMEÄ HEDELMÄ

Pimeä Hedelmä is a rap group consisting of artists Vane Vane and Kaisa Cleva and producer Liki. The band’s music is bass-heavy and foggy in sound, but still more bouncy than slow. The texts spring from a dark mental landscape and the absurdity of life is examined in an ironically affirming tone. The band is especially known for its strong live presence, and raveing at gigs is more the rule than the exception – if not in the audience, then at least on stage. Tinted by production that respects the traditions of hip hop as well as futuristic, Pimeä Hedelmä’s cauldron boils an aesthetic and sonorous trend in hip hop that has not been seen so far – especially in Finland.
